Verizon MiFi 2200
Gizmag covered Novatel’s MiFi personal hotspot earlier this year, and Novatel told us to expect the device to be available from wireless carriers in the first half of 2009. Sure enough, it appears that Verizon is preparing to launch a branded version of the MiFi that will connect to their EVDO network.
Details are scarse, but we’re expecting to hear more about this one at CTIA.

I’ve had a personal hotspot for a few years now. I have a verizon USB modem plugged into a wireless router. Works flawlessly. And as a bonus, when several car friends and I took a road trip for Rally America, I installed the route and modem in my car, VOILA, MOBILE hotspot. As long as my friends stayed within a few hundred feet, they had internet on the road.
