It looks like T-Mobile is gearing up for the prepaid war against Virgin Mobile, Boost Mobile and MetroPCS. A new unlimited messaging plan for $15 a month may turn some heads, but there’s definitely something missing.
If you’re crazy enough to buy an HTC HD2 despite the fact it’s not upgradeable to Windows Phone 7 Series, which is due to drop in September, at least you’ll be able to get free inflight WiFi for six months.

Pharos has announced the Pharos Traveler 137, a quad-band EDGE/tri-band HSDPA phone capable of working on both AT&T and T-Mobile. The Windows Mobile 6.1-based phone has a touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM tuner, and microSDHC expansion – and is capable of making the jump to Windows Mobile 6.5.
T-Mobile CTO Cole Brodman has indicated that a second Android phone is on the way “in a few weeks.” The new phone will be a follow-up to the T-Mobile G1 (read: the HTC Magic/Google Ion/T-Mobile G2) and is expected to be released later on this summer.
