Over the weekend, pictures of what appear to be the upcoming iPhone in action surfaced on the web. DigiTimes brings news of a Commercial Times report, citing sources from the component supply chain, that suggests Foxconn is gearing up for an order to manufacture an Apple netbook. Foxconn (the trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co.) is a Taiwan-based manufacturing partner of Apple, responsible for the Mac mini, iPod and iPhone production.

A German PR representative of Sony Ericsson has told mobil.se that the Sony Ericsson Idou, a Symbian-based phone with a 3.5-inch 16:9 touch screen and a 12 megapixel camera with Xenon flash, will go on sale in October.
A trusted source “very close to the issue” has told Slashgear that the BlackBerry Storm 2 will arrive on Verizon in September, adding Wi-Fi capability to address one of the complaints about the original Storm.
Boy Genius Report has received a list containing the specifications and code names of three upcoming, 3G-packing BlackBerry devices in the 9000 series – the BlackBerry Onyx, Driftwood and Magnum. The specifications of the three devices are remarkably similar, and BGR speculates that the Driftwood and Magnum are the same device tweaked for different carriers.
