Vodafone Australia has announced its pricing for the HTC Magic – and it’s more or less exactly the same as the iPhone 3G. That is, free on a two-year contract at $69 per month, which will get you $400 worth of calls and text and 1GB of data.
Finally, bloggers can stop speculating about the price and release date for the Palm Pre. Sprint today announced that the Pre will be available on June 6 for $199 on a two-year contract, after a $100 mail-in rebate.

According to our analytics software, there’s a massive number of T-Mobile G1/HTC Dream owners out there salivating over the Android 1.5 (or Cupcake) update – and we now have news regarding the release dates for the UK, US and Australia.
T-Mobile Germany has updated its website with the news that the Android 1.5 (Cupcake) update will be automatically rolled out to G1 customers on the network in May, free of charge.
HTC’s QWERTY-less follow up to the Android-based Dream/G1 handset, the HTC Magic, is destined to arrive in the UK on May 5 – and Vodafone UK will give you the handset for nothing if you’re willing to lock into a £30 per month plan.
You’re not going to see Windows Mobile 6.5-based handsets until September, but that’s not going to stop Microsoft from launching Windows Mobile 6.5 at their TechEd 2009 conference in May. For more information on the LA-based TechEd conference, visit www.msteched.com.

A German PR representative of Sony Ericsson has told mobil.se that the Sony Ericsson Idou, a Symbian-based phone with a 3.5-inch 16:9 touch screen and a 12 megapixel camera with Xenon flash, will go on sale in October.
