A recent sneak preview of Qik on iPhone was an exciting preview for hopeful new iPhone 3GS owners. Apparently, some pushback from AT&T is preventing what looks like a great app from hitting the App Store because of concerns over bandwidth. We’re here to change all that. Qik has just announced their new partnership with Nokia. Nokia spent months testing a variety of mobile video applications and their choice is Qik. Qik software allows the user to stream live video from their N97 to whomever they wish – just select friends or the whole world.
Qik enables camera phone users to stream live video to the web with very little delay—usually no more than two seconds. Along with streaming, Qik creates an archive and can optionally post to other web sites.
The list of supported phones has yet to list iPhone. That may be about to change.
