Last week, Apple announced one year additional warranty coverage for original MacBook Pro units containing the NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT graphics processor. The previous coverage increase from one to two years had been criticized in expectation of the problem eventually impacting most units and that, even after repair, repeat occurrence may still be possible.
