Samsung has introduced their first solar-powered phone, an inexpensive device targeted at emerging markets. The dual-band (900/1800MHz) GSM E1107 “Crest” includes a normal 800 mAh battery that is charged normally and a large solar panel which provides 5-10 minutes of talk time for each hour it is exposed to the sun.
