Android users: liberate audio and video content with Pixelpipe

Pixelpipe, the content distribution gateway service that distributes your content—now including audio and video—across multiple social media sites, released a big update Friday. Android users running “Cupcake” can now send videos to Facebook, Picasa, 12Seconds.tv, Twitter, Flickr and others, with additional options over the built-in YouTube uploader.

Unofficial Android 1.5/Cupcake update available for G1 users

Here’s one that’s sure to interest those of you who are tired of waiting for Google to release the Android 1.5/Cupcake. A hacker by the name of haykuro has managed to port the as yet unreleased operating system from the upcoming HTC Magic/G2 device to the Dream/G1.

Android 1.5 SDK preview released

Google has released an “early look” build of the Android 1.5 SDK, allowing developers to prepare their applications for compatibility with Android 1.5, based on the Cupcake branch of the Android Open Source Project, ahead of its final release around the end of this month.

Hands on with the Android Cupcake update

Greg Kumparak from MobileCrunch got some hands on time with the latest build (1.5/CRA79) of the upcoming “Cupcake” firmware update for Android at CTIA 09, and has detailed a few of the new features including text auto-correction, emoticons, orientation switching, and changes to the Add to Home screen.
