T-Mobile bringing Android to the home
It’s not just cell phones and mobile Internet devices that will run Android in the future. T-Mobile, the first carrier to release the HTC G1, is planning an Android-based home phone and tablet computer for release in 2010.
Details are scarse, but we can tell you that the phone comes with a docking station and another device that handles synchronization with a computer. The tablet resembles a keyboard-less netbook and sports a seven-inch touch screen.
A T-Mobile spokesperson refused to comment on the specifics, but did confirm that T-Mobile have “several” Android-based devices on the drawingboard.
