Sidekick LX

The Sidekick has finally taken the step to 3G with the Sidekick LX, complete with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and dual-band 3G UMTS/HSDPA (AWS Band IV & Band I) support.

The Sidekick LX features a 3.2-inch display with 854×480 resolution, 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus, LED flash and video capture capability, GPS, and Bluetooth 2.0 with AD2P for stereo headphones and file transfer.

On the software side, there’s access to personal e-mail accounts, IM services, and one click access to Facebook, MySpace and Twitter, with notifications from these social sites appearing on the home screen. Exchange Active Sync support will be added “shortly” after launch.

Existing T-Mobile customers can upgrade to the Sidekick LX today by visiting www.sidekick.com. The rest of us will have to wait until May 13 to grab one from select T-Mobile stores and www.t-mobile.com.
