Sprint today announced the May 10 release of the Sanyo SCP-2700, a messaging phone with a full QWERTY keyboard, a 1.3 megapixel camera, threaded text messaging and Bluetooth. The SCP-2700 is available on Sprint’s Everything Messaging Plan, offering unlimited text, picture and video messaging for $49.99.

Available applications include Sprint Family Locator, which uses GPS to locate your child’s phone on an interactive map, Sprint Navigation for turn-by-turn voice navigation, and Social Zone, a $2.99/month service which provides access to social networking sites including Photobucket, MySpace, Facebook and YouTube.

The SCP-2700 will be available in Impulsive Pink or Deep Blue colors, and will set you back $29.99 on a two-year contract, after a $50 mail-in rebate.
