Samsung has unveiled the Mondi, a mobile Internet device that runs the TouchWiz UI on top of Windows Mobile 6.1, with browser duties taken care of by Opera 9.5.

The Mondi packs a 4.3-inch touch-screen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, optical mouse, 3 megapixel camera with video capture capability, 4GB storage, and an HDMI output.

Connectivity is well sorted, with on-board Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Clearwire’s Clear mobile WiMax. The Mondi will sync your e-mail and calendars with Outlook, and push e-mail is supported – but there’s no information on the technical details of the implementation.

Mum’s the word when it comes to price and availability.
