redsn0w beta released: jailbreak your iPod touch 2G

Jailbreak your iPod touch 2G

It’s been possible to jailbreak an iPod touch 2G for a while, but the methods for doing so have been fairly complex, and not for the faint of heart. The redsn0w beta has just been released for Windows, Linux and OS X, which makes the process easier than ever.

redsn0w still relies on a command line tool, so we suggest those of you who aren’t confident working with the command line give this one a miss – Dev Team are working on adding redsn0w to their user-friendly GUI-based applications.

Head over to redsn0w.com to grab the files for your OS of choice.
