Quickoffice creates and edits Word and Excel documents on the iPhone

Quickoffice for the iPhone

While the iPhone can view Word and Excel files, sometimes the inability to create and edit them is a major pain (and probably a complete showstopper for more than a few BlackBerry users who have considered the switch). Finally, Quickoffice is ready to bring full Word and Excel support to the iPhone later this month.

Quickword and Quicksheet both support cut, copy and paste (without needing OS 3.0) and landscape mode. Also included is Quickoffice Files, which allows you to transfer files between your iPhone and a computer, and view PDF, iWork, PowerPoint and various picture formats.

Quickoffice will be available later this month for $19.99. Interested parties should head over to www.quickoffice.com and sign up to get an e-mail once Quickoffice arrives in the App Store.
