Qik has just announced their new partnership with Nokia. Nokia spent months testing a variety of mobile video applications and their choice is Qik. Qik software allows the user to stream live video from their N97 to whomever they wish – just select friends or the whole world.
Providing users with the ability to easily share live videos shows that Nokia has paid attention to what customers want. Qik is a live mobile video application that allows users to share their video in real-time.
Qik’s new features include:
- Touch screen interface supporting 19 languages.
- nHD quality video support, which allows for widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio with a 642×358 resolution.
- Live streams can be shared to services such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and other social networking applications with just one button.
The CEO of Qik, Ramu Sunkara feels that the Nokia N97 is a “truly game changing device.”
How well this new application will be received has yet to be seen, but it will certainly appeal to a wide range of users and increase the number of live videos being shared around the world.
