Someone with clout at Optus has obviously had a moment of clarity regarding the idiocy of the carrier’s decision to block paid Android applications from appearing in the Android Market. We’re happy to report that those of you unfortunate enough to be rocking a nice Android device on Optus’ horrible network can, as of about 10 minutes ago, download paid apps from the Android Market.
Citing “sources who are familiar with the deals”, mocoNews is reporting that the frightening pace of Android adoption is driven in part by revenue-share deals with the carriers and handset manufacturers who embrace the platform.
