I’ve lost them, run them through the laundry, dropped and stepped on them. It seems like the concept of keeping a Bluetooth headset charged was never planned out very well. As a category, they have seen few major improvements in their relatively short history, but Mogo Talk for iPhone (by Newton Peripherals) promises to turn the great idea of a Bluetooth headset into the truly hot product so many have failed with.
Oh, and if you’re really lucky, you can get one for free. Check the giveaway link after the jump.
MoGo Talk for iPhone answers the common problems of Bluetooth headsets with a flat-folding, ultra thin (five millimeters) design. The design is certainly impressive, but also extremely functional. The headset also comes with an integrated slim iPhone case that has a micro-USB port and charging slot on the back. “I forgot my headset” is something you may never need to say again.
MoGo Mouse for iPhone will be priced at $99 and is scheduled to be available later this summer. The company plans to make versions for other devices, so stay tuned!
Here’s the skinny on the MoGo Talk iPhone headset case:
MoGo Talk for iPhone is the first Bluetooth headset that can charge with your mobile phone and is capable of delivering superior audio quality in an ultra-thin (5mm) design. Mogo Talk’s folding earpiece lays completely flat, enabling it to store and charge on the back of a mobile phone or inside a laptop. The MoGo Talk earpiece is specifically designed to comfortably fit inside your ear, not around a clunky speaker like other Bluetooth headsets.
Talk time is good for up to four hours and standby time is good for up to a week.
The case is about to hit the market in small batches at $99 sometime in July with widespread rollouts to carrier stores (AT&T) and Apple stores later in the year. But — BUT! — exclusive for CrunchGear readers, Newton Peripherals will be giving out 50 free MoGo Talk iPhone cases.
Just hit this link, enter your name and e-mail address, and 50 winners will be selected at random on Friday, July 10th at 4:00 Eastern.
