iPhone OS 3.0 not quite on schedule after all

iPhone Activation Unavailable

iPhone Activation Unavailable

So much for the update being available as scheduled. If you’ve been trying to upgrade your iPhone to OS 3.0 all night, you already know the deal.

It looks like Apple has been unable to handle the rush. That’s a great problem to have (for Apple). For everyone else, it’s please try again later.

Apparently Apple and AT&T underestimated the wave of Apple handset users dying for OS 3.0 and the swarm was just too much to handle. If you’re trying to reactivate your phone post 3.0 update, sit tight and things should be back online soon.

I have installed and tried the tethering – It works very well… HOWEVER, unless I have missed something, after the installation the visual voicemail NO-LONGER sends the phone an indication of a voice mail having been received. Yes, you can manually call and listen to it, but the voicemail icon no-longer indicates a received voice mail… Let me know. What I did wrong!!

    Thanks,

I’m getting voice mail notifications on my iPhone 3GS after installing and using tethering. Maybe something else is happening with your phone? BENM.AT reports no such issue either.

that is funny due to the fact that u shouldn’t be able to use the tethering if AT&T found out u were they would ban your account due to this not being implemented on the AT&T server
