Samsung Gloss
U.S. Cellular has announced the availability of new square shaped flip phone from Samsung. Available in his ’n’ hers charcoal or pink the Samsung Gloss (aka the SCH-U440) includes a 2.2-inch QCIF 220 x 176 pixel display and boasts a textaholic friendly full QWERTY keyboard inside a 2.55 x 2.94 x .82-inch clamshell form factor.
The Gloss is also equipped with stereo Bluetooth, built-in 1.3 megapixel camera and music player, while support for microSD cards up to 16GB means there’s plenty of room for storing music, pictures or video. Also included is U.S. Cellular’s “easyedge” service, which allows access to applications including voice turn by turn directions, news and weather applications and games. The phone also comes preloaded with a ringtone shop that is updated daily and City ID, an enhanced Caller ID feature that displays the city and state of incoming calls.
The Samsung Gloss is available through U.S. Cellular retail locations with online availability to follow. Pricing is still to be revealed.
