FLO TV the live mobile TV service will be expanding its nationwide service on June 12 after the DTV transition. There is the potential of reaching 200 million new customers across the U.S. by the end of 2009.

Boston, Houston, Miami and San Francisco will have service after June 12 and others will be added throughout the remainder of the year. FLO TV will further expand their market in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, DC where they already exist.

The expansion of the FLO TV network will enable more consumers to access TV with their mobile phone and have the same quality as from their home TV. FLO TV has also partnered with Audiovox and plans to provide customers with the ability to watch mobile TV using the equipment already installed in their vehicles. Audiovox is producing a FLO TV-ready overhead drop down video system.

FLO TV uses their own dedicated mobile network and offers full-length simulcast and time-shifted programs from brands such as CBS, ESPN, FOX, MTV and NBC. FLO TV also has deals for original content.

More and more people are watching TV on their mobile phones and this demand increases during major sporting events and significant news events such as the 2008 Summer Olympics and the Presidential Inauguration.

FLO TV is available through Verizon Wireless and AT&T Mobile TV services.
