Aiko Solutions have just released a new security solution for Windows Mobile and Pocket PC users. SecuBox 1.5 will make it possible to encrypt the memory and media cards used in the mobile device.

Ease of use is one of the factors that users will find it is not an inconvenience to use and help keep their data safer while they travel.

A few of the SecuBox 1.5 features include AES 256-bit encryption and an encryption key backup. SecuBox 1.5 will auto-unmount on device sleep and after a period of inactivity with the memory. This means you don’t have to worry about shutting down the program each time you use it. Yet another good reason to be using this software.

Users will also be able to select third party file explorer rather than forced into using only what the program provides.

The features that are included make this really a no brainer if you want to make sure that the data you have on your Smartphone or Pocket PC stays safe.

It also includes DOD wiping which ensures that information is deleted 7 times. It can be integrated with Windows Mobile File Explorer. It provides a variety of processor types including ARM, MIPS, SH3, SH4 and X86. Encryption can be made stronger with an option to strengthen the encryption key.

SecuBox will run on Windows Mobile Professional and Classic (6.0/6.1), Windows Mobile 5.0 for Pocket PC, Pocket PC 2000/2002/2003SE. It supports all Smartphones from Windows Mobile Standard (6.0/6.1), to Smartphone 2002. It will even operate with Windows CE.

A demo version is available at no charge from www.aikosolutions.com and a single-user licence will be $39.95 (USD).
