During Fortune’s Brainstorm: Tech event in Pasadena, Sprint CEO Dan Hesse confirmed Android is now ready for prime time. The Now Network wasn’t quite comfortable with Android last year, but with the latest version of the OS, Sprint is gearing up for at least one Android device in 2009.

Sprint is always taking things to the next level. Sprint customers will soon be able to scan their phones for “upgrades” to larger soda or popcorn in theaters.
Of course, you’ll have to activate and that means you’re in a contract. Sprint has great service though, so why not? There’s at least one reason some may not immediately realize.
