BlackBerry Storm 2 coming to Verizon in September with Wi-Fi

BlackBerry Storm 2 to add Wi-Fi

A trusted source “very close to the issue” has told Slashgear that the BlackBerry Storm 2 will arrive on Verizon in September, adding Wi-Fi capability to address one of the complaints about the original Storm.

The source was light on the details, but led Slashgear to believe that RIM have other things in store for the Storm 2 – and we wouldn’t blame them. The SurePress touch screen was perhaps the most controversial element of the Storm, which reportedly made typing unusually difficult for a BlackBerry device, so we’d be surprised if this wasn’t addressed in the Storm 2.

Man the first storm was absolute rubbish. The touchscreen was horrible to use, and i found it ruined the whole experience. That’s definitely the first thing I’d be addressing if I were RIM.
