BlackBerry Desktop Manager for OS X

BlackBerry Desktop Manager for OS X

While Apple’s share of the personal computer market continues to increase, many device manufacturers are still, for whatever reason, lagging behind in releasing OS X versions of their software tools. RIM are the latest company to play catchup – a recent post on Inside BlackBerry, the official BlackBerry blog, lets us know that the release of BlackBerry Desktop Software 1.0 for OS X is “just around the corner”.

You can sync to multiple computers (are you listening, Apple?), choose to reserve a percentage of your storage, sync with iTunes and any software that uses Apple’s Sync services, update your BlackBerry OS without using OTA updates and choose which applications and data should be backed up or encrypted.

You can see more information and screenshots at, and sign up here to be notified when the software is released.
