Blackberry Desktop for Mac
Being a Blackberry user with a Mac has been an unpleasant experience for a long time. The only real solution for syncing and loading apps has been third party software like PocketMac. RIM gave users a little taste of Blackberry-Mac love last December when they released Media Sync. Now they’re giving us more: a full Blackberry Desktop application for OS X.
The software, which will be available sometime this September, will give Mac users all of the thrilling benefits those with Windows have had for so long. The list of features includes:
- Application management
- Device software updates
- Syncing contacts, calendars, notes, tasks, and even iTunes playlists
- Backup and restore with scheduled backups and encryption
The software will support OS X 10.5.5 and above. Anyone interested should go to http://www.blackberry.com/mac to receive notification when the software is released. No word yet on whether the software makes you look good in a black mock turtleneck.
