AT&T today announced the summer release of the BlackBerry Curve 8900, the thinnest QWERTY BlackBerry yet. Quad-band EDGE might leave a little to be desired when compared to the 3G-capable BlackBerry Bold, but if you sign up for an unlimited data plan, you also get free access to 20,000 AT&T Wi-Fi hotspots across the U.S.

The Curve 8900 features a 480×360 display, 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and image stabilization, replaceable battery with 5.5 hours of talk and up to 15 days of standby, and a microSD/SDHC slot that accepts 16GB cards and should accept the 32GB cards of the near future.

AT&T also provides a 30 day trial of AT&T Navigator, which will cost you $9.99 per month if you want to keep it.
