AT&T will reportedly offer tethering with the new iPhone 3.0 software. What that means is that you will be able to use your iPhone as a modem for your laptop or netbook while you’re on the go.
Apple announced at WWDC this year that 22 carriers in 44 different countries would be offering tethering with the device. A company spokesperson from AT&T confirmed today that AT&T would be one of those carriers, however it “doesn’t have any announcements to make at this time” indicating that tethering may be a little while off.
