Rumored third-gen iPhone component suppliers
Rather than keeping us on a rumor drip feed, DigiTimes has compiled a list of companies who, according to industry sources, are supplying key components and chips for the third-generation iPhone.
The sources also say the first shipment of the new iPhone will be leaving Taiwan in May, totalling five million units, in time for a mid-2009 release. Surprising? Not really. One would expect Apple to have carriers stocked up and ready to sell a new model as close as possible to the expected announcement at WWDC, given the drop in sales of the iPhone 3G that will undoubtedly follow.
