Next-gen iPhone to have 3.2 megapixel camera?
DigiTimes is reporting that Apple has placed orders for 3.2 megapixel CMOS image sensors (CIS) for the next-generation iPhone, and 5 megapixel sensors for an upcoming product.
Existing iPhones feature a 2 megapixel camera, which is widely regarded as one of the weak spots of the device – but the complaints often stem from the absense of a flash and auto-focus, rather than the resolution of the images. It will be interesting to see if Apple addresses these issues along with the increased resolution.
