According to our analytics software, there’s a massive number of T-Mobile G1/HTC Dream owners out there salivating over the Android 1.5 (or Cupcake) update – and we now have news regarding the release dates for the UK, US and Australia.
According to T3, T-Mobile UK today commenced an over-the-air (OTA) rollout of the Android 1.5 update, dubbed Cupcake, and will be finished “over the next few weeks”.
T-Mobile US has announced they plan to start an OTA rollout at the end of next week, with the update being sent to handsets randomly and the rollout to be completed by the end of May.
We just hope our Australian readers are used to being lucky last by now – as Optus told CNET Australia today that they will be receiving the update in “coming weeks” and still have field certification to do before they think about commencing a rollout.
